The thought of implementing rich music experiences into your program may seem difficult if you don't have a formal background in music. Fear not! You don't need to be a musician to introduce simple and stimulating musical concepts to children. Come prepared to learn about the basic elements of developmentally appropriate music activities for young children, and participate in experiences you can take with you to use with your preschoolers.

Tanya Timoffee is a qualified Early Childhood Educator with 10+ years of experience in the field. She worked for several years as the music specialist in the Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten programs at Meadowridge School in Maple Ridge. Most recently, Tanya was a Outreach and Resource Consultant with the Tri-Cities YMCA CCRR before relocating to Chillliwack.
