Come sing and play. At this four-hour workshop, Jane will teach rhymes, songs and stories well-loved by both the adults and children in her programs, and she will talk about the importance of this kind of play for babies' development. Sharing tidbits from the research on early childhood development, Jane will demonstrate how the playful language of rhyme provides pleasure in the moment for both caregiver and child, and lays the foundations for children's language, brain, social, and emotional development building brighter futures for children.

The workshop will focus on age-appropriate rhymes for infants and toddlers with applications for ages three to five as well.

Jane Cobb is the author of I'm a Little Teapot: Presenting Preschool Storytime, and What'll I Do with the Baby-O?, Nursery Rhymes, Songs, and Stories for Babies. She is also a Children's Librarian, and workshop presenter.
